Yes. You can bring alcohol. We ask that you drink safely and responsibly.

We are a family owned and operated business. We strive for persons of all ages to enjoy the river! Please respect others.
Louisiana State Law prohibits any GLASS or STYROFOAM on the water!
Is the trip exactly 2 or 4 hours?
If the water level is normal, then yes. This will be your float time if you did not stop. If the river gets more water in it do to recent rain north of our location, then the current may be flowing a little faster.
Do we have alligators and snakes?
This has not been an issue in our 30 plus years of operation. If you prefer, we have tubes with a solid bottom. We also have kayak and canoe rentals.
Do we close if it is raining or lightning?
No. We do not close due to rain. You are wet anyway!
We will not put you in if it is lightning. We will wait until it passes if you still want to go. If it starts lightning during your float, seek shelter. We have never had anyone struck by lightning.
Do we have trees in the water?
Yes. All rivers have trees. It is a part of nature and its beauty. The landscape of the river is constantly changing.
How deep is the water?
From zero to 30 feet. The river does not have a flat surface under the water. Its depths are at different levels. For the most part during the summer, you can stand up most anywhere. But there are holes that are over your head. Life jackets are provided free of charge. All persons under the age of 16 and non-swimmers must take a life jacket.
What is the water temperature?
Yes. Believe it or not. We do get this question. We do not have a thermometer in the water. The Bogue Chitto River is spring fed. Therefore, it does stay cool. Not cold to most people. It is constantly flowing so it does not heat up from the sun like a swimming pool. The feel of the water depends on how hot it is outside and your body temperature.
Are their rapids?
No. The Bogue Chitto River is lazy and easy going. This is what makes it perfect for floating.
What do I do with my trash?
We provide trash cans on many of the beaches. If you cannot locate one on your journey, put your trash back in your ice chest or cooler tube. We will dispose of your trash when you exit the river. Please do not throw it in the river! We live here. We eat here. We play here too! Leave only your footprints in the sand!
Are there stores along the way to stop at?
No. You are in the woods. There is no need to bring credit cards or cash on your journey. Whatever items you may need, you must bring with you.
Can I bring my own tube?
Yes. The price is the same. If we allow everyone to bring their own tubes for free, we would be shuttling tubes all day for nothing. OMG! Can you imagine?
